Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy seeing a few attractive images from the microscopes. There aren't many pieces of research equipment that produce data to please the eye - so enjoy.

Pretty Pictures
All of the pictures below were taken by researchers using the facilities at Microscopy Otago. The equipment they used would have been a transmission electron microscope, confocal microscope, scanning electron microscope, light microscope or micro-CT. Some researchers use a range of these instruments to take full advantage of their diverse range of features. No matter what they use,the results can sometimes be spectacular.
